Issue #2: "Change style of map - current is showing costal water are of countries and messing up border lines."
Root cause: the map uses an inline MapLibre style with a Natural Earth ne2sr shaded-relief raster (raster-opacity: 0.5) under a semi-transparent choropleth (fill-opacity: 0.85). The raster's flat water tint bled through the 15% fill gap inside every country, and its finer 1:10m coastline (vs the coarse 1:110m vector countries) read as a competing, messy border line. The faint 0.7px ~10%-white vector border couldn't mask it. The GeoJSON data is clean land, so this was a pure client rendering/style issue.
Fix (client-only, src/components/WorldMap.tsx):
countries-fillfill-opacity 0.85 → 1.0 (owned countries fully opaque — kills the water bleed; oceans/unowned stay faint so the subtle terrain remains).
terrain raster raster-opacity 0.5 → 0.15 (the relief + water tint become a subtle backdrop instead of competing with the vector borders).
countries-lineline-width 0.7 → 1.25, and applyRegions stroke raised (owned 0.10 → 0.30, unowned 0.06 → 0.14) so clean vector borders become the dominant edge.
No changes to server code, the GeoJSON data, or the regionId/ownerId owner-resolution contract. v0.10.0.
Fixes #2
Issue #2: "Change style of map - current is showing costal water are of countries and messing up border lines."
Root cause: the map uses an inline MapLibre style with a Natural Earth `ne2sr` shaded-relief raster (`raster-opacity: 0.5`) under a semi-transparent choropleth (`fill-opacity: 0.85`).
Fix (client-only, `src/components/WorldMap.tsx`):
- `countries-fill` `fill-opacity` 0.85 → 1.0 (owned countries fully opaque — kills the water bleed; oceans/unowned stay faint so the subtle terrain remains).
- `terrain` raster `raster-opacity` 0.5 → 0.15 (the relief + water tint become a subtle backdrop instead of competing with the vector borders).
- `countries-line` `line-width` 0.7 → 1.25, and `applyRegions` stroke raised (owned 0.10 → 0.30, unowned 0.06 → 0.14) so clean vector borders become the dominant edge.
No changes to server code, the GeoJSON data, or the `regionId`/`ownerId` owner-resolution contract. v0.10.0.
